For two years the conservatives have tried to tell us that MOST Americans agree with them…that most Americans are “center…but leaning towards the right.” At the same time, they actively and aggressively put forward that Barack Obama was the “most liberal senator in HISTORY,” and therefore he “doesn’t match up” with the ideals of most Americans.
Well…according to Tuesday’s numbers, they were dead wrong…because America embraced this “most liberal” and “socialist“ (their words, not mine) senator by a pretty wide margin. Of course, anybody who has met more than a handful of people already knew these talking heads were wrong, but I digress…
So…if you’re Karl Rove or Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck…how do you you reconcile reality with “your reality?” It’s obvious…now apparently, Obama is “center…but leaning towards the right.” Here is a collection of conservative pundits attempting (rather sadly) to find a way to justify the disproven idea that THEY are in the majority:
